We chose Sports Trophy Co as they offered competitive prices and promised that they could deliver to us by our deadline, which they did. However they sent us the wrong order, on 3 different counts. They sent us our medals in the wrong colour, size and design. When we rang up to ask for an explanation, they informed us that they didn't have what we ordered in stock. This goes against their terms and conditions which state that should an order not be in stock they will back order and email the customer, they did neither of these. And apparently it didn't cross their minds to inform us of this before they shipped the order, costing us over Â£100. We didn't have time to change the medals as we needed them for the next day. Over continued phone conversations the man at the end of the phone was thoroughly incompetent at handling the situation, and when we asked to speak to the manager I was shocked to discover that he was the manager. A very poor one at that. They wouldn't refund us without sending all the medals back, which we couldn't do as we needed something to give to all the cyclists who were riding from London to Amsterdam in aid of our charity. Eventually the man said he would give us a "˜discount' as we were a charity and knocked Â£4 off our postage charge. He then tried to make out he was doing us a huge favour by reducing the price of our medals by a pound each, even though they had delivered a smaller size which should have cost us a pound less to begin with.
Overall their service was incredibly unsatisfactory, if the delivery of our items was poor, then the handling of the situation was exceptionally ineffectual and the "˜manager' (if you can call him that) was lacking the ability to resolve a simple shipping order. The worst part is we had rang them previous to ordering to get a quote over the phone, you would assume they would have checked they had the items in stock there and then. But then again they have already proved themselves to be utterly hopeless.
We will certainly not be recommending their services to anyone, in fact we will be actively discouraging people from using their services.
I would strongly advise other prospective buyers to steer clear of this company if you would like to receive what you order. Or perhaps you can take a gamble order the wrong item and you'll probably end up getting what you want.
Monetary Loss: $200.
